Advocacy & Outreach Intern

Tanquarae McCadney or 206-323-1227 x118

As Homestead’s Advocacy and Outreach Intern, Tanquarae works with Homestead through the Justice Leadership Program of the Pacific Northwest. She works on advocacy and outreach projects associated with advancing homeownership opportunities for modest income people, and neighborhoods at risk of displacement. A native of Toledo, OH and a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky, she has interned with the Ohio Senate and the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus as the first caucus intern in history. Tanquarae hopes to inspire the next generation of leaders through mentorship and community service. She also has aspirations of becoming a civil rights attorney working to abolish the prison industrial complex. Tanquarae is Homestead’s first intern through the Justice Leadership Program, which has placed talented social justice activists with organizations in King County.
