Homestead and Rebuilding Together are looking for Homestead homeowners in need of home repairs. Rebuilding Together is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to provide safety, warmth and independence to low income homeowners through free home repairs. Through partnerships with local organizations, corporate sponsors, and volunteers they have been able to provide aide to over a hundred low income families, seniors, and disabled persons.
This is an opportunity to receive free help to make your home feel safe and comfortable for you and your family! They focus on repairs ranging from installing grab bars, appliances, electrical work, painting, yard work, and porches to foundation work (they will not replace roofs).
The deadline for applicants is February 25, 2011. Homestead will be nominating families to Rebuilding together to have their repairs done.
