Homestead Community Land Trust and Spark Northwest have partnered for a new homeowner program called Solarize the Land Trust to help our community land trust members install residential solar systems on their homes in 2019.

Solarize the Land Trust will feature free educational solar energy workshops coupled with a group purchase discount opportunity and a simplified purchasing process.

Spark Northwest is an environmental nonprofit that accelerates the shift to clean energy one community at a time. Through its Solarize Northwest program, Spark Northwest has educated over 4500 people in Washington and Oregon, resulting in over 1000 solar installations and over $21 million invested clean energy.

Participants in this program will be eligible for a group purchase discount from the selected installer. There will be a limited number of grants available for homeowners to help pay for the upfront cost of the solar system and installation. Whether or not you are selected for a grant, there will be a low-interest rate loan available for this program to help pay the upfront costs of solar.

To qualify for a free site assessment from the selected installer, learn more about the group purchase pricing option, and how to apply for the low-interest loan and possible grant; the first step you will need to take is to attend a free educational workshop provided by Spark Northwest.
