Volunteers strengthen Homestead’s ties to the community, helping to increase awareness of the value and promise of permanently affordable homes around Seattle and King County. Check out some of the ways you can help, and then contact us if you are interested in learning more.

  • In the office – Support Homestead’s core operations by helping with mailings, data entry, filing, and research.

  • Publications – Say it loud and clear! Share your skills in photography, graphic design, writing, editing, or website maintenance.

  • Events – Event planning and execution can benefit from all kinds of skills. Get in touch to see what we’re working on now.

  • Expertise – Homestead supports homeowners through the entire process of buying and owning a home. If you have expertise in a field that is relevant to first-time homeowners, you may want to consider hosting a workshop or serving as a member on our board of delegates.

  • Networking – Be a community liaison for Homestead. Talk to your friends, neighbors, local businesses, community organizations, and the press about how Homestead is creating permanently affordable homes around Seattle and King County.

  • Advocacy – Nothing is more important than your voice. Join our e-news list to stay informed on the latest affordable housing news and critical opportunities for advocacy.
