Steps to buying this home:

Step 1: Submit a pre-application here if you have not already. If you are determined to be eligible you will be notified and added to our interest list.


Step 2: If after evaluating the property online through the Virtual Tour and deciding you have a serious interest in purchasing this home, fill out the Property Purchase Interest Form available here: deadline to submit this form is Wednesday, Oct 27th.


Step 3: Qualified homebuyers will then be invited to an open house to tour the home. Applicants will also have the opportunity to attend a Homebuyer Orientation to learn more about Homestead's program.


Step 4: If after viewing the home in-person you would like to purchase the home, you will receive a link to complete the full Homestead application and upload it through our secure online portal. Applications are due Wednesday, November 17th.


Please do not seek a pre-approval from a lender until you have been invited to tour the homes in-person and are in the process of submitting a full Homestead application for one these homes.
When you are invited to submit a full application you will be provided with the list of Homestead's Participating Lenders, this includes contact information for loan officers that are familiar with are program. We highly recommend you seek a pre-approval from a loan officer on that list.

We anticipate a lot of interest in this home. Homestead has estimated that the minimum affordable income for the home is $64,000. However, factors such as the amount available for a down payment may lower that requirement slightly. There are always multiple interested, eligible, and qualified homebuyers that apply for each home we sell. We use an objective tie-breaking process to determine which of the applicants will proceed with purchase. Week 1 (10/18) Interested homebuyers submit the Property Purchase Interest Form. Due Wednesday, October 27th.
Week 2 (10/25) Interest Form Due 10/27.
Week 3  (11/1) Homestead reviews interest forms and invites qualified applicants to attend an open house and submit the full application.
Week 4 (11/8) Applicants that have been approved gather application documents, seek a pre-approval from a lender, and attend the Open House.
Weeks 5 (11/15) Applicants submit application documents by November 17th.
Week  6 (11/22) Homestead Reviews Applications. The buyer will be determined by November 23rd.
